Instructions
- Peel the banana and slice it into even chunks.
- Freeze the banana pieces for at least 2 hours, or use pre-frozen banana chunks.
- Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly under cool running water and pat dry.
- Add the frozen banana chunks to the blender.
- Layer the fresh spinach over the banana.
- Pour the unsweetened coconut milk into the blender.
- Add the natural almond butter.
- Add the ice cubes unless the frozen banana already provides the desired thickness.
- Add honey or maple syrup only if additional sweetness is desired.
- Secure the blender lid and blend on low speed to break down the frozen pieces.
- Increase to medium-high speed and blend for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
- Check that no spinach pieces remain visible, blending for an additional 15 to 20 seconds if needed.
- Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately.
